Transaction Reports

1.0 How Do I Run Transaction Reports?

Transaction reports provide you with a list of access control system events and a time and date stamp of when and where the event occurred. A system event is any event generated by the access control hardware, such as access granted and access denied events, door opened and door closed events, door locked and unlocked events, reader online and offline events (for supervised readers) and network updated related events.

Note: By default, the Transaction Reports will include up to 1 million system transactions/events (because Borealis includes 1 storage block, at no additional charge, and each storage block holds a maximum of 1 million system events).

If you wish to retain more than 1 million events, you should purchase additional storage blocks (each having a maximum of 1 million events), or change the storage model to 'pay-as-you-go' and the event subscription charge is then applied for the total amount of system events generating during the billing period.

System transactions are deleted on a FIFO (First-In-First-Out) basis to ensure that the oldest events are deleted first.

2.0 Run a Transactions Report

  1. Click on Reports from the main menu.
  2. Click on Transactions.

  3. The most recent transactions will be displayed on screen.
  4. The transactions reports screen will display 10 events per page and there is likely to be multiple pages.

3.0 Filter the Transaction Report by Message Type

You can use the message type filter to display only reader type events, for example:
  1. From the main menu, click on Transactions to display the full list of system transactions.
  2. In the first column header 'Message Type Group' click on the filter icon.

  3. Place a check mark against Access Granted.
  4. Click the FILTER button.
  5. The transactions report will now only contain the access granted types of events.
