Add an NXT-MSC and True Mercury Site
1.0 Introduction
The site determines which hardware type will be used. Once a site has been added you will then be able to add a hub (or multiple hubs) to the site.
A site may represent a business location, a floor of a building or any other grouping of hardware. The requirements for a site are as follows:
Notes:
- An NXT-MSC site supports NXT-MSC and True Mercury controllers.
- You will need to use multiple hubs if you wish to use different hardware/controller types (for example: Standard NXT AND NXT-Mercury-Powered (MSC) controllers.
- A site must have a world timezone assigned (all controllers on the site will use this world timezone).
- Each site will need a minimum of one physical hub.
- Each hub supports up to 32 doors.
The following steps explain how to create an NXT-MSC site.
2.0 Site Setup Steps
- Log into the Borealis web portal at: keri.aetheros.net
- On the left-side of the screen, click on Sites.
- The Sites screen will open.
- Click the CREATE button located on the right.
- A new create site form will appear.
- Enter a name for the new site.
- Enter a contact name for the site.
- Enter a contact phone number for the site.
- Select the Keri MSC and Mercury Controllers hardware type.
- Select the country where the site is located.
- Select a state (where applicable).
- Select the world time zone to apply to the site.
- Select to enable keypads on the site (if the site uses readers that have keypads).
- Click the submit button.
- At the top of the screen, you will see a message that the site has been successfully created.
